Policies

Thank you for being a member of Post Rock Fitness! As we continue to grow, all members should be aware of the guidelines for the facility to ensure it is kept safe and clean for everyone to use.

Basic Gym Etiquette

1) EVERYONE must sign-in with the door controller – Even if you are coming at the exact same time as your spouse or friend. This ensures a) only those with an active membership are using the gym, b) if something happens or if there is an emergency it is clear who is in the building, and c) no one is mistakenly charged for allowing access to a non-member.

2) Change out of your street shoes and into gym shoes – This will help keep the equipment and floors clean.

3) Wipe down all equipment after use – Disinfecting wipes and spray bottles with paper towels are in several locations around the gym.

4) Put all weights and mats away after use – This will keep things tidy and easier for others to use the equipment.

5) Do NOT drop the weights! – This old wood-framed building has been lovingly restored. There is no concrete floor; however, there is a full basement and we would prefer you not crash down into it.

6) Help keep an eye on the place – Disrespectful people are why respectful people can’t have nice things.

Membership Agreement & Waiver

All members are required to sign a membership agreement and waiver. Most of the time this will be done through the RhinoFit app the first time a member logs in to their account. For students under 18, a parent or guardian is required to sign the waiver along with the student.

Membership Agreement & Waiver

Please be aware a membership is for the designated member alone and is NON-TRANSFERABLE or assignable to another individual. The member is being provided bar code access on a trust basis and the member agrees to not provide that barcode to any other individual or provide access in any way to a non-member.

The membership agreement outlines the following: limits of membership and liability for unauthorized access, release, indemnification and hold harmless agreement, photography/video release, and parent/guardian permission (if needed).

Policy on Children

Generally speaking, NO child under the age of 16 is allowed in the gym. A few exceptions to this rule are below but if in doubt, children are NOT allowed.

Exception #1: Infants are allowed as long as they are secured in a car seat, stroller or small pack-n-play. The infant must be within your direct care at all times. Infants who have the ability to wiggle free or crawl out are not allowed. Under no circumstances is an infant allowed to crawl or walk freely around the gym.

Exception #2: 10-15 year olds are allowed to use the gym as long as a pre-approved designated adult member is with them providing direct supervision at all times. A membership must be purchased for the child. Arrangements must be made with Kelly Gourley, owner, in advance of the purchase.

Exception #3: Some classes may allow children of varying ages. This is on a class-by-class basis so check the details of each class to know if children are allowed and under what conditions they are allowed.

Policy on Failed Payments

Most memberships are auto-paid through RhinoFit with a credit or debit card or ACH transaction with a member’s bank. Payments may fail due to a variety of reasons such as an expired card, lack of sufficient funds in the account, or a member closing their bank account or card.

When a payment fails, the member will receive an email notification of the failure and the reason for the failure according to the transaction processing service company. If you have a failed payment, it is best to contact Kelly ASAP with a plan for making the payment. Kelly is happy to work with you to get your gym access back up and running! The member will not have access to the gym until the payment has been successfully processed.

In the case of a failed payment and no prior direct communication with Kelly with a plan, the payment will be retried as a second attempt the following day. If the second attempt fails then the payment will be retried for a third time again the next day plus a $5 processing fee. If this third attempt fails, the membership will be placed on hold and the member will have two options to restart the membership. Option #1: Within one month of the failed payment, pay all past due fees plus a $10 fee to restart the membership at the rate the member has been paying. Option #2: Beyond one month of failed payment, sign up for a new membership at the current rate (which may be higher than the rate the member has been paying and include a sign-up fee.)

Please note, if a member has a contract and the three failed attempts at payment causes the cancellation of the contract, Post Rock Fitness will review its options for collecting on the contract.

Cancelling a Membership

No Contract Monthly Plans can be cancelled anytime with at least 10 days’ notice before the membership auto renews. With Contract Monthly Plans, there is NO early cancellation because a commitment was made upon sign-up for twelve (12) months and a total of 12 payments. After the 12-month period, the membership becomes month-to-month until a member notifies us to cancel with at least 10 days’ notice before auto-renewal.

To cancel you must contact Post Rock Fitness directly. Cancellation is not available through the RhinoFit app. There are NO refunds for cancellations made after a membership has auto-renewed.
