Kick off another great Post Rock Festival weekend with the Post Rock Run for Fun! No matter how far you go or fast you go everybody has a chance to win!

Date: Saturday, August 31st, 2024 – Start time is 8:00 a.m.
Location: Start line and finish line at Post Rock Fitness, 113 W Lincoln Ave, Lincoln, KS
Registration Deadlines:
– Online registration ends Friday, August 30th (see form below)
– In-Person registration ends on-site at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31st

1st Place medals will be given in the following categories:
– 5K Run – Adult (M & F), Senior (60+, M & F), Student (17 and under, M & F)
– 2 Mile Walk – Adult (M & F), Senior (60+, M & F), Student (17 and under, M & F)

EVERYBODY HAS A CHANCE FOR PRIZES! A drawing will be held after the event with all participants having a chance to win.

Registration Form

Registration Fees (based on when payment is received, not when form is submitted). After the form is submitted, you will be contacted separately by Kelly, owner of Post Rock Fitness, for payment.
– Pay before August 24th – $25/adult, $15/student (17 and under)
– Pay after August 24th – $30/adult, $20/student (17 and under)
– Discount for Family of 3 – $10 off total
– Discount for Family of 4 – $15 off total

Need a little motivation to shed a few pounds? The weight loss challenge will run for 12 weeks starting August 31st and ending November 23rd. While there is a fee to participate, you can earn your money back by participating in different exercise classes or activities.

Rules:

  • Challenge runs for 12 weeks starting August 31st to November 23rd
  • Registration Fee – must be paid prior to August 31st
    • Members of Post Rock Fitness = $36
    • Non-members of Post Rock Fitness = $50
  • Earn $1 back every time you:
    • Participate in the Run for Fun on August 31st (the kick-off event!)
    • Attend a class at Post Rock Fitness (i.e. Boot Camp, Active Aging, Yoga, etc.)
    • Participate in a Saturday morning group walk (starting September 7th!)
    • Participate in the Post Rock Mountain Bike Club’s Thursday Night Ride (TNR)
    • Get a workout in at Post Rock Fitness
    • Participate in Taegen Walter Fitness & Coaching’s Accountability Group (contact Taegen directly for details)
    • Other activities may be added over the course of the challenge
    • Cannot earn more than $3 back in one week (that means you’ve got to be consistent!)
  • Report your weigh-in results (percentage of weight lost) to Kelly every weekend (Sunday night at the latest)
    • Every time you DON’T provide a weigh-in report you owe $1 back of what you’ve earned
    • To calculate your total percentage lost, take your total pounds since your original starting weight and then divide by your starting weight and multiply by 100. (I.e. starting weight is 150 pounds, weight loss since challenge began is 7 pounds, so 7 divided by 150 multiplied by 100 = 4.66%)
  • At the end of the challenge, The Biggest Loser wins ALL the leftover registration money that everyone else didn’t earn back!

Privacy Note:
Because most people are very sensitive about their weight, at no time during the challenge will anyone’s weight be shared with anyone else. Your weight is your business. The only information shared amongst the group of participants will be your weekly percentage of weight lost. That way everyone can see how they stack up against the competition to keep you motivated!
